Message from Austria to Russia
Eric,
That was an intresting disband selection.
I thought you had told me that you wanted to fight the Turk.

Message from France to all
I am receiving messages from USTX with a random (but sometimes 2-3
day) delay and I still have not gotten the Build Results. If you want
to talk to me, please do not wait until the last minute.
Thanks,
Tamas

Well, I figure you and the Turk will begin to fight now, and once a winner
emerges, they might find my Fleets useful. It might give me better odds
to survive.

So many enemies, so few Units... ;^)
Nicky.
Message from Turkey to Austria
I'm interested to see how we proceed from here. I think if we are
too work together, we need to set up a situation where you can't stab
me and the same for me but at the same time we both have good opps
for growth.

Well....actually....I hope not, but it now seems likely.

Is anyone else suffering from severe mail lag?

A message seems to take 2-3 days to get delivered, pretty impossible
to communicate if you want to exchange thoughts. I certainly have not
been able to finish what I have wanted this season (again).
Having said this, I am pretty busy but will reply all of your personal
messages (which I just received) in a few hours.
Maybe we should consider CC-ing to real email addresses to overcome
the problem but I think it makes the most sense if we _all_ commit to
doing it (so that one knows that no reply means no reply).

So Andy, we talked a bit a couple of days ago - what are your thoughts for
how we should proceed?

Last I heard, I am moving south and you are taking the ION.
Has anything changed??

Hmm I must have missed a few messages. Last I heard (and given that was
awhile ago), you had urged me to move west against France, while using Nap
to bounce in Ion with Turkey that you were going to arrange, and
supporting me to Piedmont.
Or is that not an option any more? If you'd prefer to focus elsewhere
that's okay with me too. Any thoughts to Tyl-Mun with A Kie support?

When I didnt get a response to that, I fell back to the *how can I
stay alive*
I would gladly support your move to PIE, and would LOVE to see you go
west.

Yeah it's been crazy for me lately, which has not been helped by the
insane judge email lags. Fortunately it looks to be getting a bit better
lately.
So, why don't we just kind of put the past behind us and unveil AI as the
powers to beat. Let's take on Turkey and France and Germany at once.
Russia's nothing, and you can make some gains in southern Russia / the
Balkans, while I work F Nap into the Ionain to do a delayed Lepanto while
sending the other guys west into Iberia and southern France.
thoughts?

Yes....at least one friend has asked me when and if I actually sleep.
75 hour work weeks have kinda sucked.

I like that spirit.....:-)

You're not, but Turkey, England and Germany all took Centers from
me last year. If I kept the Armies to fight Turkey, England and/or
Germany would have taken StP, and I would have been stuck in the
East, and relying on Warsaw to support my Units and to build in. It
didn't seem like a script that would include my survival. If you and
the Turk fight, and neither of you become opportunistic over War,
I should be able to take Nwy or Swe, and build an Army in War to
help (one of) you next year. As I see it, it gives me a (small) chance
to remain a viable Northern Power, while you focus on the South.
Eric.

Message from France to Austria
Kaiser,
Sorry for the silence. Any thoughts on how to proceed? Your taking of
Venice is welcome in the spring, army or fleet you decide. If I were
you I probably would take it so that we avoid a repeated confusion we
had last fall.
What do you hear from Italy these days? Turkey is asking me what to do
with Austria. I told him to stay away from you, hopefully he listens to
me.
Best,
Tamas

I hear that he wants to move on you, and Turkey.

Message from Italy to Austria
andy,
The more I think about it, the more I'm not sure about this French attack.
For one, I'm n ow realizing that a retreat to Tus would leave Ven in
danger as wella s Rome, and if he does retreat to Mar, I can't guarantee a
center even with F Wes, F Lyo and A Pie.
Plus I get the feeling Turkey is going to come against me, now that Russia
has disbanded as he has.
And, this would also let you move Tyl back to Vie/Boh, and Tri-Alb (or
Hold), which would let me breathe a bit easier.
We can give France a turn or two - he's not going anywhere - Turkey is the
real threat I think

How do you not get Spain with those 3 units in place assuming he doesnt
move defensively.

Reasonable concern.

I can do that.

I think he is a bigger threat than you think he is.

What I keep looking at is, assumign F Mao and A Mar vs. my 3 units - Mao S
Mar-Spa, which bounces my Wes S Lyo-Spa, Pie-Mar. Now of course I could
just support myself to Mar, but that fails with Bur S Mar, Mar S Mao-Spa.
So it's a guessing game.

Meaning France? Well, I agree that he's a threat, but I'm not sure what
else to do...
Message from France to Austria
Kaiser,
Thanks for your note. I am now submitting my orders and I
just realized that there is a small chance that I am
screwing up things for you. Although I rated a supported AI
attack on Mun at a quite low probability, I did say OK when
Germany asked for supporting Mun. Most probably this does
not affect your spring orders (and I am not sure I am
issuing a support after all), so I guess you should not put
a high emphasis on it.
Italy has asked for continued support of Venice. I have
promised you that I will not block another attempt of yours
there but your latest message suggests that you might not be
forcing Ven after the fall. If this is the case indeed,
then I would not mind issuing the requested support to
increase the confusion. Let me know.
Best,
Tamas

It doesnt, please issue the support, and make him feel safe.
