Italy: Army Belgium can retreat to Ruhr
Message from Turkey to Italy
Italy,
sorry about the tap on the ION. as you can see I didn't want to take
it...i just NEEDED to keep Greece and was more than a little paranoid
that you and Austria might conspire against me...and since I was
attacking russia instead of Austria..taping ION was the only choice.
but as you can see, I made good on my promise to go after Russia...I
look forward to looking forward to working with you now, and hope we
can put our past behind us.
Message from Italy to Turkey
Have the movement results come out yet? I didn't get a copy - if you
have them can you forward them to me?
Message from Italy to Turkey
Nevermind - I got them from floc.net - still haven't received them via
email. As to your tap on Ion - no problem - I worried about you trying to
take it, but I had to counter that with the fact that I suspected
treachery from France. I thought of trying to send Tun-Wes, but figured
that would be a problem if France didn't stab, so I settled on Tun-Wes.
I was very glad to see that you moved on Russia. I assume a build of F
Ank?
Message from Russia to Turkey
Well, I am surprised. And disappointed. Yes,
you're building two, and I'm disbanding one,
but now you face a four-Center Austria, a
four-Center Italy, and a five-Center Russia,
none of whom are likely to ally with you.
Had you taken Serbia, you'd still be building
two, and we'd be positioned to roll over the
remains of Austria.
Nicky.
Message from France to Turkey
Sultan,
Just two words: Well done!

Yeah, actually what do you think the best way to kill that Russian
BLACK sea fleet is? I have two builds and since we are making peace,
I don't need all three of those fleets.

Message from Turkey to France
Thank you...and wow the board can change a lot in one turn! Wow
Russia is mad. Of course he is saying that now I am in trouble since
Austria, Italy and he won't work with me. However, your great advice
of becoming good friends with Austria has helped me out a lot.
The builds/disbands will be interesting.
I really can't hold Rumania; however, I need to get rid of the Black
Sea and Moscow is wide open in front of me!
Thanks for your help,
Turkey
Message from Turkey to Russia
sorry about that. I figured you were taking Ank last turn, so I had
to take Sev, or bounce there. I was really talked into this one by
many other players. They all said that you had to be stopped and that
everyone was moving against you this turn.
One thing though that they said, or the way that they positioned this
stab was that I could still work with you; however, I would (for the
time being I guess) have the upperhand in the alliance. Plus
everything I have read indicates that all things being equal, Russia
always comes out on top with a R-T alliance. It may be a little bit
of a self-fullfilling prophecy I guess..but i just figured that you
were going to do me in this turn and I needed to fight back.
sorry,
Turkey

did my thank you card get lost in the mail?
Message from Italy to Turkey
Well, I think you have to build F Ank and A Smy (just realized you've got
2 builds). Then, Sev-Mos (he can't stop it and it's best to continue
northward), Smy-Arm, Ank-Bla (if he tries Bla-Sev), Aeg-Con, Bul S
Aeg-Con, Gre S Bul, Eas-Smy?
I can try to dislodge one of those fleets to let you build it as an army,
but I'm not sure how logistically speaking.
What 2 units should I disband, do you think?

that seems good..or maybe wait to go to Moscow in the fall?
and you think building an army in Smy is better than building one in Con?

I think that might be difficult. i would like to keep two fleets in
the south, should you falter, I don't want France washing down willy
nilly into the MEd.
>
>What 2 units should I disband, do you think?
That all depends. Northern one for sure. How are your relations with
France and Austria? It is going to be really difficult with me going
after Russia if both Austria and France are going after you.
Message to all
With England and Austria building, does anyone have a feeling this is
going to be a longgggg game?

Sort of......I sent it to the wrong game....and now the Turkey in that
game is REALLY confused....since he has 1 dot.
But since I am a bonehead....
THANK YOU.
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
where to from here chief....

> that seems good..or maybe wait to go to Moscow in the fall?
Well, if you go now, he can't kick you out in the fall, since he can at
most get one army bordering Mos. If you wait till fall and he orders
Gal-War (a good bet) then he'll bounce you out in fall.
> and you think building an army in Smy is better than building one in Con?
Definitely. Con needs to be free to get F Aeg into Con, so that if
Ank-Bla fails in spring (likely) you can support yourself in in the fall.
Plus Smy can go to Arm.

Right.

Well, I guess it all depends on who is going to be friendly to me. If I
can convince France to be friendly, then I can go after Austria. If I can
convince Austria to be friendly, then I can disband maybe F Alb, F Ion?
and go after France?

thanks..i'm just joking though. Everyone talked me into Russia, i
did, and a good (previous) ally is now pissed at me.
However, where to now? I don't have the foggiest. Moscow looks wide open!
The real thing to figure out is that someone has to die, or this game
will go one forever (and we can't have that, can we?). I would think
that Italy and Russia and England are good candidates?

just finish the job and you will be all the better for it. How can I help.

Yes it does.

As would I ....what do you want to do about the Italian in the short
term..

We talked about that. It made no sense because it
left me without a reliable ally.

I wish you had considered what Mario, Buffalo, and
particularly Tamas, gain by this.

Well, now Tamas is the one who needs to be stopped.
How do you propose that we do that?
> One thing though that they said was that I could

Only if you build in Con and Smy and move Sev-Rum
next Spring.

I convoyed you to Rumania in 1902, disbanded my
Army there and rebuilt it as F StP/NC to balance
that advantage. I left myself wide-open to your
stab to balance that advantage.
> sorry,
So am I.

I think that France is more of a danger...now that russia is knocked down.
However, it is always dangerous to give SCs to Austria. i don't
suppose there is anyway to work this such that Austria and France
don't get too chummy.
I really have no feel for how you should play it wRT to removing a
unit...i think the better choice is diplomacy

I would suggest that we aim to take Warsaw and Moscow. My only
concern is we can't keep ignore Italy and France.

a lot probably depends on what he disbands...do you have any idea on that?
It would be good if he keeps his units more west vs France.

I can probably give him some ideas.
