Message from Austria to Master

I must admit I didn't foresee what happened in Russia, and I am sure Russia
is just as surprised as I am. I expected a lot of bounces against him --
instead almost every single move succeeded, three of them without support!
My goal against Russia this year is just to stay even with him, and since I
am already in one of his centers, that will be easy. Sev-Mos with support
from War guarantees it, and I am not even going to try to cover Vie or Bud.
I have two reasons for that: I expect to get at least two builds anyway and
therefore, I want to keep my home centers open. Also, since Russia probably
expects me to defend them, he will hopefully use Gal to attack (or support
an attack) on War or Rum. I am also making Rum-Ukr, just in case R uses Ukr
to give support for an attack on War or Sev. I would have *liked* to make
Rum-Gal, but I do not want to risk Russia sneaking into both Rum and Bud...

I cannot thank Turkey enough for all his help in the last couple of years.
It was kind of beautiful that he gave me support for Gre-Ion in the spring,
although it wasn't needed. I am sure it added to Italy's frustration ("how
on Earth did Turkey know that Austria would stab me?"). Unfortunately, I
will have to take Turkey's last center now, and I am going to bounce myself
in Gre just in case he tries to survive there.

Italy will surely try to make it as difficult as possible for me from now
on, but what can he do? He is not in a good position to strike back at me.
This was a very well-timed stab, I think, but I am no hurry. I will not even
try to take Tun/Nap although I have a 50/50 chance of doing so now. Having a
fleet in Ion is good, and I expect Italy to cover either Tun or Nap. If he
does, the other center will be there for the taking next year. I am making
Ven-Rom to bounce Tus-Rom, and I am making Tyr-Ven just in case.

It looks like France is going to get another army destroyed this fall -- it
is a nice tradition. :-) There is a possibility that England will be very
anti-French for the rest of the game. That could be very important for me.
The German comeback is also interesting -- who will he be attacking? A dream
scenario for me would be EG coming after F.

Message from England to Master

Well I am still amazed at France. Austria is looking very good for the solo.
In 1902 France indicated peace and I moved away and indicated peace back yet
he still pushes on his attack.
Just as I predicted. I can also easily hold him off. AUstria is about to
grab 2 maybe 3 builds. Who is to stop him?

At best I can help Russia hold onto STP. I am not upset about Germanys
moves, I am actually glad that he gets a build.
To solo AUstria will need 1 german SC or a frecnh SC. I just hope FG realise
this. I cant afford to lose NWY as someone has to stop France in Russia. I
hope Germany realises this too. I can afford to bounce in Sweden just this
once. I wouldnt want Germany to press for Sweden and Denmark. If I am not
part of a draw then an Austrian solo it must be.

Message from France to Master

Obviously Austria is the solo threat, but I'm not totally happy to give up
attack on England this turn. There is still a possibility that Austria will made
bad choices and have his progress severely delayed. In this case, England's
units are lined up ready to hurt me if I retreat. I would rather Austria was a
more certain solo threat. Engladn is very good, and will see this, and will
hopefully make the northern stalemate positions quickly.

I expect that the fleet in Wal will be destroyed and England will rebuild an
army in edi.

Message from Germany to Master

Yeehaw. The Russian finally moved out. Unfortunately, he allowed Austria
to devour him in the process. Italy did the same, surprise surprise.
England backed out of the north, easing pressure on me, yeah.

So it looks like, in the end, it will come down to an FG stand against
Austria. England was kind enough to let that happen.

So my current moves will be, Ber->Mun to cover it. Den->Swe in the hopes of
perhaps taking it. Kie->Den to take Den as well. With any luck I get 2
builds this turn, to buffer up some forces against Austria. The fleet will
then head to Bal most likely, to allow for convoys to Lvn, while the armies
hit Tyr/Sil and the rest of the borderlands.

We can just hope France lays off, re: Kie.

Message from Italy to Master

Worst fears realized. An Austrian stab. If the rest of the board does not
pay attention, he has a good chance to solo. Oh well, I shall do my best to
defend.

a smy - con (why not)
f eas - ion (if I guess wrong, it will be in position to help my surviving
forces, I am only superior to Austria in seapower now)
f tus - rom (covers ROM)
a pie - ven (keeps him honest)
f tys - nap (he will probably go for TUN, knowing I have to cover NAP or
lose faster, or not...)

Message from Russia to Master

Well, if nothing else that was fun for awhile. This Austrian
is a very selfish type. I'm hoping that leads to his ultimate demise,
but with the FEG mess, he has no natural enemies. All I can do
is to make him dance a little bit longer, maybe make things interesting
but probably not. Getting Warsaw back means not making him use
his armies to defend his supply centers. But, if I can get warsaw back
maybe Italy gets tired of Austria, and I have renewed life. Probably
not, but I'll give it a try.

Message from Turkey to Master

I think I'll attack Smyrna. Probably won't count for anything, unless Austria
decides to support me in.
