Message from Austria to Master
Italy's choice to disband his army in Smy was welcome. Whatever he had
chosen to disband would have been nice, but now I will not have to worry
about any Italian army retreating to Arm and threatening Ank/Sev.
This year, I plan to take Smy and build another fleet. There is also a
possibiliy of me taking a second Italian center, if I make the right guess
this spring. I think Italy will make Tus-Tys and try to bounce me in Rom
with his fleet in Nap. Therefore, I will try to bounce him in Tys with
Ion-Tys. That gives me a good chance of taking either Rom or Tun from him
this year. If Italy makes Eas-Aeg, I will be able to cover those centers (I
am making F Tri-Alb). I will look a bit stupid if Italy makes Nap-Ion,
Eas-Aeg and Tus-Rom, but I will take that risk. Whatever happens, Italy will
be down to three or two centers after this year.
I expect Russia to make Gal-Ukr with double support, so I am going to try to
dislodge his army in Gal with Ukr-Gal double support combined with Sev-Mos
cutting one of his supports. I will still not make any progress against him
this year, but it does not matter.
The most important thing this year is to see whether France starts seeing me
as a solo threat or not.
Message from England to Master
Well it's guessing time once again. On the one hand he indicates peace and
with the other hand he slits my throat.
I have to go for a place in the draw or help austria to a solo.
France has to retreat to MAO and start covering WES. SMY will fall as will
MOS.
Once again I cant risk losing Sweden or Norway. I may be the last line of
defence in STP by supporting the Russian unit there.

Making peace with England, and hoping that Germany doesn't panic.
This could be costly if England continues after me. But I think it is
sufficiently clear that I can throw the game to Austria, and now I am pretty sure
England can do the same. So we need each other.
We need Germany . . . but maybe not for long. Depends whether England is
willing to get stuck in.
Message from Germany to Master
Well, France built anti-me. That is VERY bad. Totally kills any idea I had
of stopping Austria. Guess France doesn't want to be a winner, or even a
co-drawer in this game.
Austria now gains Smy, Tun. That puts him at 13. Rom and Nap will fall
soon. 15. War and Mos are very foreseeable. 17. His 18th will have to
come from me. And he has to know it. Well, on second thought it doesn't
HAVE to come from me. Personally, I'd take Spa/Por. France is leaving it
wide open. A few more fleet builds and Austria is a serious sea-threat in
the Med. Not often you see that, but if you do, Austria DOES win.
Well, provided England doesn't screw with me, I guess I will try this (to
slow any France progression against me, while still being in position to
block Austria when the time comes).

This gives France a chance to show his intentions, while still leaving
myself defensibly positioned against him, and along the forntline against
Austria, ready to toss or defend, depending on France's actions.

I cannot see a way to defend for more than two years. I took a chance and
Austria stabbed me, no regrets. Will fight it out to the end, but no real
chances left.
Message from Russia to Master
So, can the selfish continue to multiply. We'll
see. Austria now has no allies, but nobody who can
harm him either. I can't do much besides try to be a pain.
Italy is not in shape to help me. I did not like the Piedmont
move, it's a waste of a unit. He should have been able to
see that Austria would come after him. So, I now support myself
and try to cause havoc with the Galician army.
