Most things went as planned or even better this year.
Building two armies to continue work with Italy. It is
AI vs RT now and with Russia having trouble in the
north things looks good for me. Hopefully Italy will
Lepanto from this position.
Message from England to Master
An interesting fall move. RT seem to be hitting it off from now onwards.
Germany and I both pushed forward against France. Russia moves on Germany.
This makes me believe that AI will concentrate on RT.
I guess my best bet is to join up with Russia. I am banking on him building in WAR although he may use his PRU army to cover WAR. Maybe he is inclined to give up on Scandinavia and willing to divide Germany with me.
Germany is in trouble, I can still patch things up with France.
Russia is in trouble too down south, he may lose RUM this spring.
For now I am opting to join forces with Russia.
I will build a fleet in LON, this may lead Germany to believe that I am still on his side. I have to concentrate on It may also indicate to Russia that I am no threat up north and wish to ally with him.Scandinavia for now.
Message from France to Master
Worst fears realised. Germany enters burgundy. The bright light on the
horizon is Russia's move to Bal/pru, and the possibility of a R/T alliance
distracting Germany. The 3 builds are good, but I would much much rather have
had 2 builds and a friend.
Come on Russia!!! Go get Berlin.
Let's also hope the R/T cooperation will prevent Italy from joining the E/G
alliance too soon. Though I don't understand turkish moves. Now he can't
order to AEG without losing Bul (since he can'e even build a fleet in smy). Of
course - He can force BLA and change horses.
Builds are pretty straightforward for me (can't order a build of a fleet in
Mar even if it had some tactical advantage because don't want to risk provoking
It unnecessarily).
E/G/R have shown their hand. T/F are constrained, needing to respond to
E/G/R. I think Italy needs to be a little careful of R/T. The big thing for
Spring 1902 is what Austria will do. If he decides to attack T (or even Italy -
foolishly), and leaves R alone, then I will be in a much better position,
since it will leave Russia free to hit Germany.
I suppose there is a small chance that England will change to an attack of
Germany (or even russia) following the Russian opening. He knows now that E/G
aren't entirely unhindered in their attack of me.
Nightmare scenario : Russia orders pru-war next turn!
Message from Germany to Master
Well well well, interesting moves.
Austria: Gets his 2 builds and is now sitting in Galacia! Great pressure
on the Russian. Though with the Turk and Russian moves, it looks like a
Jugger.
England: Good, he moved to the MAO. That ought to wrap up France for a
little bit, if England doesn't suddenly see that Germany has nasty neighbors
and wants to get in on the feast......
France: 3 builds. Hopefully that sounds the alarm in England's ears. The
success in Burgundy would be exceptionally sweet except that France gets
three builds making this all pointless. Combined with Russia's advance on
me, could be bad news.
Italy: Nice safe moves. Have you seen the clear cut Jugger? I mean this
is a FAST moving Jugger, perfectly executed. And France got builds making
the evil FRT alliance a massive threat in this game. (Boring and hated
alliance in my book, which is why I tend to pronounce it with a little a in
there. (FaRT).
Russia: Tsk tsk. Advancing on me so soon, and I HANDED you Sweden. Now
you get only one build, and England has a tremendous advantage on you. Back
off now and we might end up buddies. Keep it up and you will go down.
Turkey: Nice moves. How did you know that Russia wouldn't take the Bla? I
could use a sudden stab in here though. Would be nice :)
So it looks like, unless England suddenly feels otherwise, that I will have
to work with England. Hate that. With Russia's moves on me I guess I'll
have to build armies. Definitely not my style of German play. I will
analyze and see, but things don't look so good. Looks like builds of armies
in Ber and Kie, and slide Bur back to Mun and head east. Though a fleet in
Ber might not be so bad......
Well I decided to build the fleet. Would have preferred it in Kie, but that
would have been too anti-E. So it gets built in Ber.
The army gets built in Kie. Why Kie? To fill in Kie so that Russia's
Baltic fleet doesn't have that to sneak to. Otherwise I have to use
Holland, a complete moveback of force. Better to leave Mun open and cover
with Bur. If Russia bounces me in Mun, then I'm still nicely in Bur (or
Pic/Gas/Ruh if France dislodges me). Holland is still available for Swipes
at Belgium, and the Ber fleet is now free to move on Bal with Denmark
support. If Russia's army then moves to Ber, he takes it but I have Mun to
sweep him out in Fall. Baltic retreats to Sweden, and barring any English
support, I sweep him out in Fall, and the usual plan is set.
Meanewhile hopefully England is engrossed with France. I'm almost hoping
Russia bounces me in Mun. I would like to stayed French-engaged. Pulling
back leaves England hanging, which makes him pull out too.
All in all I think I'll do ok here. Austria seems set to pressure Russia on
the southside, provided Italy and Austria can keep Turkey pressured too.

F1901 very interesting...
Looks like Austria is in. Strong presence in the Balkans and an army in
GAL. Don't want him to get too far ahead of me, but maybe a long term
alliance. A BUD, A VIE
The Turk is stuck in place for now. With SMY open he could have built
another fleet and gotten it right into action. Instead he has a build in
ANK, which limits him unless his plan is to go North. That would be bad for
Russia, but good for me. F ANK
France got three builds, but has a German army in BUR and a Brit fleet in
MAO. It could either go very well or very poorly for France. I may have to
consider going that way instead of towards Turkey. If MAO ends up in WES,
things could change rapidly. A MAR, A MAR, F BRE
Russia moves on Germany, but has to build in STP or loses the centre and any
long term chance for survival. The Kaiser has two builds, so can defend
himself against a Russia who looks to have his hands full. F STP (nc) for
Russia, A BER and A MUN for Germany.
Britain is in a good position. The island is secure, he has NTH and ECH,
can move on STP, or try for SWE. He can attack France in conjunction with
Germany. A three build France may not appeal to the Brit. Will it be A LON
or F LON?
Well, I will build F NAP. I can still head West and see if France is ripe
for the picking, or head East and work fast enough to react when whoever
wins in the West comes calling on me.
The builds may help decide my course. Of course A TRI would upset
everything, although F TRI is tolerable....

Great, he didn't bounce me in Sweden. Oh well, it's an opening that
I still feel needs to be dealt with aggressively. As a result I have to
give up
Galicia. Fortunately for me, Turkey has opened up very friendly and that's
a plus.
I'm not going to build in St. Petersburg, and hope that Englands' hostile
move to
the mao is enough to not want to make an enemy of me also by moving
norway-stp.
We'll see. I'll probably guess wrong here too.
Message from Turkey to Master
Nice of Russia not to attack the Black Sea, but it's a massive shame that he
didn't take Sweden. Now he's going to get caught up in a war with Germany, and
I'll be left to the mercy of Austria and Italy, unless I can be very very
lucky.
I'd like to build a fleet, but for defensive purposes, I really need an army.
