Message from Turkey to Italy
Well, clearly our cooperation last turn didn't go so well. Perhaps we
should try again.
Now that France has left your front doorstep, maybe we could work to
push Russia back a little before he becomes the next France. If you
could cut Bul's support for an attack, that would be a good first step.

Message from Turkey to England
An excellent attack against France - it looks like he's playing pure
defense right now. I do hope you can keep Russia tied up as well, since
it looks like he's gunning to replace France at the top of the heap.
I'm trying to work with Italy to stabilize the situation down here. If
you hear from him at all, please encourage him to work with me, since
France has now left his area. I can't afford for him to keep helping
Russia, and I don't think you can, either.

:-) I aim to please. I'm not sure what "heap" France was ever on the top
of, though. . .

The press archives will show I've been pleading with Andy to work with you.
I will keep it up - your good fight is good for Andy & good for me, too.
Jason, it is excellent to hear from you, and I apologize humbly for not
having written to you sooner.
It's not like me, but real life has been on me like a badger these last
couple of weeks.

how does this help you?
I want to know this because I need to plan what else I have to do in
my own defense....

Thanks for all your help, then. I just hope I can hold on down here. :-)

Frankly, I don't know if you attacking Bul will help or not. If Russia
goes for Ank, I can't stop him no matter what. If he goes for Con,
though, cutting Bul would help.
If you wanted to support Aeg into Bul, that would work as well, possibly
better. Regardless, I need to try to stay at 3 for as long as possible
to frustrate Russia and make him turn around.

I do not know what I can do to help you, besides what I've already been doing.
There may come a time soon when I ask for a favor, if things get near the end for you.
Good luck, and I hope it doesn't come to that.

Ok....lets talk about this.
Why arent you supporting CON - BUL instead.
AEG is uncuttable, where Con is cuttable, and it gives ANK a retreat path.
Assuming we are working on the premise that ANK is going to get dislodged.
Aside from the fact that you want armies in Bul not Fleets.
How does this sound. If it works it gives you a place to build or retreat.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant thanks for talking to Andy. I don't
expect you to fly over here and bomb Sev. :-)

I was thinking that Con could support Ank, and try to hold the
territory, but yes con - bul with support would also be workable. Russia
does have two supports available, though, so any extra help would be
appreciated.

Scientists deep in the bowels of their secret laboratory in Clyde are
developing long range missiles capable of carrying a payload of several
packets of dynamite, or a single jar of peanut butter.

I cant support Con, and BUL is likely the mover in attacking CON, so
moving to Bul is similarly not helpful...it would just bounce with the
other stuff.
the best chance we have to keep you at 3 in my opinion is this.
F AEG s A CON - BUL
F ANK - BLA
A COn - BUL
Greece can support that and if Bul is the mover (as I suspect) you get
Bul.

Message from Russia to all
Greetings all,
Well, after much packing, unpacking and schlepping of boxes, I believe that I
am close to rejoining the online world from my new locale. I'll be busy this
evening, but I think tomorrow morning and evening should find me with
sufficient time to check in.
I'll probably still have sporadic availability during the work day, but with
a phone line AND computer both in the same building, it should at least be
possible for me to communicate some. (I have yet to actually try to dial up
yet, but we'll see how that goes tomorrow AM).
Talk to you all soon,
--- Eric

Hey Jason,
I finally have a moment to take focus on Dip --
I know I ask you this every turn (and answering me has yet to really be
helpful to you) but what are you looking for out of the game at this point?
Do you want to defend your home centers at all costs? Do you want to survive
at all costs? Do you want to make sure that someone (or that no one) solos?
Do you want to ensure that someone is hurt as you go out? Are you tired of
the game and just want it to end? I know you've been content to defend
against Andy hoping that I'll go away, but your motivation continues to
escape me. :)
It's clear that Andy will still be looking to help me eliminate you so that
he can pick up quick centers and ensure himself a place in the draw. It's
just as clear that I've been setting up to take your centers for my own
diabolical purposes. The main difference I see between Andy's position and
mine is that he can't get centers from you unless you are eliminated, whereas
I can help you stay alive while still growing myself -- especially if you
aren't too picky about which centers you keep.
Let me know what you are thinking,
Yours,
--- Eric

Very well, then. That's about what I had before, except for F Ank
moving. We'll see what comes out of it.
jason
Message from Turkey to Russia
Good to hear from you again. Hope the move went well.
I'm looking to get out of this game what I've always wanted: the best
position I can. I generally don't throw games or try to get someone else
to win unless I've really ben screwed.
Since Austria cost me Bud, though, and Italy then turned on me, my
chances of staying in this game in the long term have dwindled. Right
now, I'm basically at your mercy, depending on if you feel like shifting
your attention north or not. I appreciate your janissary offer, but I do
think I'll decline for now. My pride usually can't take being ordered
around in Dip. ;-)
Morituri te salutant!
