Gotcha. Agreed that Ion isn't likely, but it's our best shot. Things
look to be coming to a close soon.

Eric:
Your assessment of Italy's game-throwing abilities appears pretty spot
on, but we couldn't run the risk of irking him until we were fairly
certain that your solo threat had been completely reduced. Clearly, with
Munich and St. P no longer in your hands, it has been; my only fear is
that I may have allowed Andy too much of a rebirth.
In any case, I am now going to have to push to edge him out -- going the
other way against Ben clearly isn't positionally advantageous right now.
As such, I am now willing to support any moves you might make against
Andy and vice versa. Obviously, we're not in a great position to do much
for one another, though Munich is up for discussion.
You're at 13 now, plus Smy, so I can't allow you to take all four
Italian centers, but any division of them points the way to, at the very
least, an EFR draw, and makes me feel more secure. As such, I'd love to
get your support into Munich, but I don't know what I can offer to make
that enticing. Perhaps a two-turn effort to get F Gre to the Adr, with
support from French F Ion? I can also move Lyo - Tun, forcing him to
choose what to do with A Ven.

Eric -
I don't know how serious you were about wrapping up c2, but if you /were/
serious, I would appreciate you letting me back into BER. The reason
being, it then makes it safe for us to eliminate Andy, and even in BER I
would not be able to advance further.
Thoughts?

Eric -
Ok, the deadline is pretty much upon us, but I don't think what I have to
say is particular to this phase.
If you would like to see the draw whittled and the game wrapped up, there
are two things you could do to make it easy:
1. Return BER to me. Because I could defend it, it would make it harder
for you to be thrown a solo. Can you be thrown one now? I admit, it would
be difficult. But I think with me in BER, it would be impossible, and I do
not think I could advance from that position any further against you, so
hopefully you will not see it as too threatening.
2. Take SMY. This would compensate for the loss of BER and limit your
southern fleet strength so Erik could take care of business more freely in
the south.
Frankly I do not feel strongly one way or the other about whether it is
time to begin cutting out the weak links. But if you want to do it, I
think this would probably be enough to grease the wheels. I haven't
discussed these points with Erik yet - apologies to my friend in France, if
I am speaking out of turn.

Message from Master to all
Players,
Time on USTX got screwed up a bit, so I've extended the deadline by an hour.
Please use it wisely.
Also, please be sure to review the orders that the judge echoes back to you.
In a few games lately, I've noticed that people have been late because they
omitted orders for one or two units.
Also, also, if you are late, please try to get your moves in as soon after the
deadline as possible. Let's not hold the game up any more than necessary.
Thanks,
Greg, GM
