Message from Italy to England and France
Gentlemen,
What is on the hit parade....
Erik, who is your moving unit for ION.
What do youwant from me.

Well, as far as you're concerned, the chief tactical question is:
> Erik, who is your moving unit for ION.
and I have no idea what's on his mind. Yes, I've written him, but I count
myself lucky if he happens to respond to my press.
> What do you want from me.
Would you support KIE - BER, please? I don't know whether I'll take
advantage. . . Let me know if you have something else in mind for MUN.

Likewise.

Done.
Message from France to England
Ben:
Russia's 13 + 1 Turkish + 4 Italian = solo, so we need to grab two
Italian centers and then we (or at least I) can breathe easy. Are you
willing to consider support for Bur - Mun, while I also strik Lyo - Tus?

Message from France to England and Italy
The silence is a sign of stress, not of conspiracy. If I were really
after you, I would have built an army in Mar. In any case, Russia is
almost out of solo range, but could use a little more knocking back.
Andy, I think getting Tri back this turn is unlikely; as such, can I
count on support for F Tun - Ion? We need to get the Med good and
plugged up.
Ben, you could consider Swe - Bal - Lvn. Might not be too defended.
Thoughts?

I don't know how serious you were about wrapping up c2, but if you /were/
serious, I would appreciate you letting me back into BER. The reason
being, it then makes it safe for us to eliminate Andy, and even in BER I
would not be able to advance further.
Thoughts?

Hm. It wouldn't be enough to *take* the two centers - you'd have to hold
them, as well. . .
Let's not rush things - if you get TUN into ION, so much the better, though
I suspect Andy will counter with TYS - ION. Which may be just as good,
with LYO - TYS and MAR - LYO, doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Absolutely

Just let me know if you are going this route Ben.
Can I get support from Burgandy?
thanks

Ok...I have a very gut feeling that Erik is going to attack me.
I am not sure what to do.....
what do you suggest.

Your instincts are close. He asked me about it.
> I am not sure what to do.....
You do nothing other than what you've promised. I told him not to attack
you & I think he won't.
> what do you suggest.
Sit tight. It's not coming, I don't think. And I should know - presumably
MUN would be part of the package, so he would need my help.
So. Play nice.

Ben...
Ok....I can do that. Regardless of my other moves, you would have my
support.

Eric -
Ok, the deadline is pretty much upon us, but I don't think what I have to
say is particular to this phase.
If you would like to see the draw whittled and the game wrapped up, there
are two things you could do to make it easy:
1. Return BER to me. Because I could defend it, it would make it harder
for you to be thrown a solo. Can you be thrown one now? I admit, it would
be difficult. But I think with me in BER, it would be impossible, and I do
not think I could advance from that position any further against you, so
hopefully you will not see it as too threatening.
2. Take SMY. This would compensate for the loss of BER and limit your
southern fleet strength so Erik could take care of business more freely in
the south.
Frankly I do not feel strongly one way or the other about whether it is
time to begin cutting out the weak links. But if you want to do it, I
think this would probably be enough to grease the wheels. I haven't
discussed these points with Erik yet - apologies to my friend in France, if
I am speaking out of turn.

Still no word from Erik. Surprise!
RUH is supporting MUN.

Message from Master to all
Players,
Time on USTX got screwed up a bit, so I've extended the deadline by an hour.
Please use it wisely.
Also, please be sure to review the orders that the judge echoes back to you.
In a few games lately, I've noticed that people have been late because they
omitted orders for one or two units.
Also, also, if you are late, please try to get your moves in as soon after the
deadline as possible. Let's not hold the game up any more than necessary.
Thanks,
Greg, GM
