France: Army Munich can retreat to Bohemia or Ruhr or Tyrolia

Message from France to all

In a quiet room in Versailles,
Prince Boar works over some papers

Let me read over this advertisement:
WANTED: New Military Leader
Must be willing to take on all Europe,
since most of Europe is attacking France.
Must like wine, cheese, and the Packers.

Incompetent generals need not apply,
we have had enough of that already.

Those suffering from Napoleonic complexes
are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Country of France is an equal opportunity employer.
-----

That looks pretty good. Now how to get rid of the
Dauphin. One just can't fire the heir to the throne.
Hmmm, he likes hunting. Perhaps an interesting book on
hunting, with sticky pages so he must lick his fingers to
get them to turn. A little poison on the edges....
perhaps I can use whatever the Dauphin used on my father.
He has been ill for many years, out of the way but alive.
The Dauphin is not well read, I am sure that he has not
read "la Reine Margot" by Dumas. This should work.

Message from England to Italy and Russia

Turkey is history. It does appear that he coordinated his move with
France, but the elimination of yellow from the board is far more important
than the loss of Bulgaria. Finally, Idalia (soon to be Roberto?) will be
able to push west in force.

We should be quite happy with events on the western front as well.

I stayed up after Monday Night football looking for moves, and I have a set
of moves that I really like. I assume that France will retreat to Ruhr.
Belgium really looks to be in danger, but I believe it is quite safe. Our
position is good and will only improve.

We are having Thanksgiving at home this year, so I should be able to
communicate a little each day right through the weekend. Provided, that
is, there will be someone to talk to!

Ivy

Prince Boar,

So, Italy paid for Turkey's elimination with the loss of Bulgaria. A
bargain, in my opinion. I suspect that Italy will soon cause considerable
problems down there.

Please satisfy me on one point (if you wish). Did Ali actually communicate
with you? It appears that he did.

The Name of the Rose! -- great book.

We are having Thanksgiving at home this year, so I am available for
communication just about every day. The trouble is we have so little
business to discuss with each other.

Have a happy Thanksgiving and enjoy those kids. They grow up too fast.

Message from Russia to England and Italy

Gentlemen,

Yes, Smy S Con, Ank S Con should keep them from
supporting Bla-Con, and Rum-Sev, Arm-Sev will protect
Sev. That does put Bud/Ser at risk, though. We'll
have to think about that.

>We should be happy with events on the western front.

I'm concerned about Mun-Ruh clogging things up, but
haven't really looked at that, yet.

>We are having Thanksgiving at home this year,

Sunny and I are visiting the In-Laws in Prussia, so
my access will be limited from the 21st until the 26th.

Nick.

Ivy:

The scene to which I was referring was in La Reine Margot
by Alexander Dumas. I have never read "The name of the
rose." There was a movie about it I see. Do you
recommend the book and/or the movie?

--Prince Boar

PS: Ali sent me a very short note. I was very surprise
to see him support me. I guess that Italy is taking all
his home centers.

Great book, rather long. Poor movie.
