Message from France to England

Ivy:

Well, now it is time to talk about adjustments.

I think that not building in Brest and Liverpool are
givens. How can we manage your builds so that they are
both effective and do not give me ulcers about my exposed
back? :-)

Given that you do not want me to make too much progress
against Italy, do you prefer that I build an army in
Paris?

Message from France to England and Russia

I know that we need to wait and see what Germany
disbands. At this point I am willing to transfer Belgium
to England so that he can transfer St. Petes to Russia.

I figure that I can take an Italian center to make up for
it and have a shot at Munich. But I do not plan to grab
every center in sight. I have no desire to put on my
Tee-shirt with all those concentric colored circles on
it.

I wish to build a fleet and an army in London and Edinburgh. Just tell me
where to put them.

I do prefer a build in Marseilles. Three northern armies for you poses
quite an offensive threat in Germany and the lowlands. Even a fleet in
Brest would be better than an army in Paris from my point of view. Having
said that, no build of yours will alter our alliance as long as we stay on
our current course.

Ivy.

This works for me. ;^}

I would respectfully suggest that we should emphasize
taking German Centers and just maintain pressure on
Italy. There is obviously some question of how Italy
will react to pressure, but if he opts to throw
everything at France, and give Turkey room, I could
easily face a Turkish attack just as the German
pressure is fading.

Your Friend,

Nick.

Message from England to France

Prince Boar,

Perhaps my last message was overly worrisome. Build anything you want
anywhere you want.

As for becoming a target, I agree that it is still premature for one nation
to get very in front by more than a unit or two. However, collectively we
have 13 and in another year we will have several more. Very, very soon we
will be unstoppable as a team.

It is my hope, and I think yours as well, that we can then sweep across
Europe. Eventually, we will have to deal with each other. However, if the
only possible outcomes in a game are a win for me, a win for my partner, or
a 17-17, then I will take those odds any day.

Message from France to England

Ivy:

I am building Army Marseilles.

I think that you should probably build Fleet Edinburgh
because of the German fleet in the Skageraak. If you
built Army Liverpool instead of London, that would free
me up to do what I had to do against Germany, without
worries. I do not expect that you would convoy until the
fall. Does this make sense?

Message from England to Russia

Nick,

The Prince and I have suggested alterations to each other's suggested
build. There is always that little bit of mutual insecurity. So now I am
building an army in Liverpool and a fleet in Edinburgh.

Message from England to Russia

Nick,

I should have added that I anticipate Edi-Nth.

Message from Turkey to England

Ivy,

Most interesting news indeed, and most welcome. I'm continuing my efforts to
get Roberto to talk to me, but so far my last 3 presses have gone unanswered.
I can only hope he's had a change of heart; if he is determined to come after
me 100%, I'm running out of ways to hold him back. He's really put himself in
a bind; at this point, the *only* centers France is really in a position to
attack are Italian home centers. Russia mentioned something to me last turn
about Italy supporting France to Munich, so perhaps that's the avenue he's
pursuing. Still, I think it would take great restraint on France's part not
to attack Rome and/or Naples.

Don't have much time at present, but I will try to write with more in-depth
thoughts this weekend.

Best regards,

Ali
