Turkey: Army Budapest can retreat to Galicia
Message from Germany to England and France
Interesting moves.
Unfortunately I'll be out of town the rest of the weekend. So I can't
talk about them until later.

Message from England to Germany
Fredd,
I am glad that it happened this way, mutual and simultaneous. We gave it
our best shot. In all honesty, I think that both of us could have handled
the alliance a little better, and against lesser opponents we would have
prevailed in spite of our inperfections.
Let's keep communicating. There are lots of twists and turns left in this game.

I guess you could say that at least we tried. But you've been
swinging my way for awhile now. I've seen those signs before.
Good luck with Russia. Working with him is like pulling teeth.

I think that someone was having some fun with us Ivy.
I did not send the French message either. I do
understand the deadlines now and was on time.

Wingo:
Thank you for keeping your word. I have guests and just
popped on for a second. I will probably not write much
until tonight.
An excellent beginning! Too bad that Russia is in a bit
of a bind. I have not studied the situation, but do not
think that we can immediately take a German center.

Oddly enough we finally managed to clear the North Sea. :-)
Care to keep it that way?
This is actually funny. We both stabbed, but the end result is the same
as if we had cooperated.

Oh, I know. He takes a rigid position and repeats his arguments
endlessly. I had some experience with him in the first year after he moved
his army to StP. Maybe we are all older and wiser by now.

Delightful! I hadn't noticed that. The only difference is the fleet in Nwg.
The other thing I noticed is that Eng s Bel->Pic; Nth->Bel; Mun s Ruh->Bur
would have worked. We would have been in Picardy and Burgundy, and my Nth
fleet would have vacated to the south. I wouldn't have given this much of
a chance in advance, though. If only we could see what others were
ordering in advance!
>Care to keep it that way?
There is a way. I could self-bounce. At least I will think about it.

Dauphin,

I am rather busy as well. Actually I am at work. I am trying to get
enough done so that I can watch football tomorrow and perhaps some tennis
tonight. I am a diehard Steelers fan.
You are to be congratulated. With persistent diplomacy and flawless
tactics you have weathered the storm. As long as the rest of us do not
permit Italy to gain too much more, your chances are as good, if not
better, than the rest.

Russia can come out even with my help. He can either recover StP or take
Sweden instead. But Germany does not lose a center. After I pull the
Channel up into the North Sea this next turn he will be very hard pressed.
Germany sent me a note thanking me for vacating the North Sea. 8-)
I have never been part of a mutual, simultaneous stab before. There is no
feeling of guilt!
As I read the situation, after this year Turkey will be one unit short of
having enough for adequate defense. He will need the support of a Russian
army for Romania. It's not clear if Russia will provide the support though.
We have lots of time to think about these things. Back to work.

Nope sorry, he's not. I offered to leave him alone in WAR and MOS (but
he had to give up STP) Somehow after many press exchanges that was
turned into me destroying his fleet so that he could rebuild an army. I
can just see the arguments over him supporting you or you supporting
him. Trust me, if you guys are going to reach an agreement it'll be
you supporting him in.
This whole thing is funny. We couldn't agree on what to do so we both
stab. And wind up with better positioning than when we started.
Although I've been trying to figure out the different permutations to a
ER attack on SWE and STP, I've also noticed that there are other
options.
Look at this
Norway takes SWE - gives you a build
DEN and NWG bounce the North Sea.
you can attack France somehow as he won't expect it now.
I take STP - Russia can't dislodge me without your help.
I take MOS or WAR with Turkey's help. I build one.
I can stay in TYR and continue to harras Italy.
Win, Win, Win
I love it when a plan comes together. Ha!

Another option is that I can now move to PIE and on into MAR.
This just keeps getting better.
