Message from England to Turkey
Jason -
I am building an army & attacking Russia in the north.
My move combination was the only one I saw that permitted me to hold KIE, HOL, and another center, in this case, BER, which will allow me to build and close off Russia in the north.
Yes I took advantage of Russian supports.
But I am no fool, I know it is time to Stop The Leader.

Sounds good. I totally understand your taking his support - better you
have those builds than him!
Good luck up there. It's IT to the rescue down here.

Well, based on what I'm hearing, the STL (which, to my eyes, should be "Saint Louis") has formed around you.
I have not decided what to do yet long-term, but I am hoping to come to an agreement for an English DEN during this coming year. Considering you've already offered it, it shouldn't be too hard. . .

I knew moving as I did last season was going to lead to STL behavior, but I
didn't really see a choice: I needed to get some builds to ward off Jason.
I can lose centers in the north to you, or I can lose centers in the south
to him, but I couldn't afford to lose centers in both places, because then
neither area would be defensible.
Yes, Den being yours is easy to agree to, especially given that there's
nothing I could do to stop you anyway. :)
So how would you like to go about accomplishing getting Den to you?

Oh, I understand. I wouldn't have done anything differently, in your shoes,
I don't think.

"I don't even exercise."

I hadn't given it much thought yet. *yawn*
So, you're a Panthers fan now?
;-)

And I don't get the comment. :)

Clearly I need to work more on my motivational skills.

Yes indeed. The irony is that I'm only through the 3rd quarter of the game
on the Tivo, so I think you just told me the ending. (Not a problem, just
funny). Panthers are the much better choice to me, but it's still not like
I have much of an investment in them, so much as against the Pats.

"[something something] No weapons. Skill and skill alone."
"You mean, I put down my sword, and you put down your rock, and we try to
kill each other like civilized people?"
"I can't help being the biggest and the strongest. I don't even exercise."

Yawning for the passage of time; no reflection on the brilliance of your
motivational technique. How would you suggest I take it?

I figured. The games this weekend were a downer, but exactly as I
expected. Carolina was the anti-Philly, and the Colts offense had grown
fat and lazy beating up the junior varsity defenses. . .
I have no big rooting interest. My guess is Carolina will win the Super
Bowl, though the peculiar Patriots offense may be the antidote for the
Carolina defense - that will be an interesting matchup. If Brady's uniform
is still clean(ish) at halftime, Pats win.
