France: Army Belgium can retreat to Picardy
Turkey: Army Constantinople can retreat to Ankara
Message from Russia to Italy
Well, I never believed that you weren't moving to Tri -- especially with you
suggesting moves that had me back away insanely far from you, but I still
wonder if it was a mistake not to tell you I planned to block that move,
since you couldn't stop it anyway). I guess I should have moved Arm-Ank
instead of supporting you to Smy. That's a mistake that will slow me down
considerably, but I wanted to ensure that Turkey went down two. Oh well, live
and learn.
Gotta run -- I'm just online to check my calendar for tomorrow, but I thought
I'd drop you a line when I saw the results.

Ben,
About the annoyance in Ruh: the idea was to slow you down just a touch. I had
every confidence the move would bounce. I hope it doesn't cause too much
friction between us.

You are Kreskin. It was a close call and I almost didn't do it.

Don't try to slow me down again - just ask me to slow down - it will just be a matter of working out the specifics. Clearly a 2WD with a Russian army in RUH would be a greater challenge than not.

MUN -> RUH?
Care to discuss?

Damn. I thought I might get two builds with my moves, but I didn't expect
that Jason would not try to bounce Andy in Smy, and I wanted to ensure that
Turkey went down two: if Jason was left with two units, then IT could stymie
me in Turkey indefinitely with four total units. With only three, I can
overwhelm them if I want.
Clearly Arm-Ank waS the right choice, and would have also allowed me to
successfully make the other move I seriously considered (StP-Fin, Mos-StP) to
make a push for the solo. I expected Nwy-StP again, allowing a fleet build on
the south coast of StP, but even without I could have really done well with
that move, perhaps keeping France alive and able to help me out. But I
worried I wouldn't get enough builds (minimum two required) to ensure I could
protect against Kie-Bal-Lvn while defending Sev and assaulting Scandinavia if
Bla-Con failed.
Sigh. That's what I get for not following my own stated goal for this game of
being more aggressive than I'm typically comfortable playing. As much as I
like the idea of soloing, I clearly play to not lose rather than to get the
win. That's something I still need to work on.
Looks like an REI draw unless something surprising happens.

Ha! It seemed certain enough. And on top of that, Andy suggested it
independently. While I had thought of it anyway, with him telling me to make
that move, I was reasonably certain he had also told you that I was going to,
since the other things he told me were clearly intended as a setup. I guess I
misread that one by a longshot. My apologies.
I'm dropping off line now. Talk to you more over the next few days.
Take care,

Hey there,
I was sure that you would try to block Andy's move. I guess that was a
mistake. It would have been better for me to move Arm-Ank. Oh well.
That Janissary opening is still available if you want to reconsider. :) If
you keep the fleet in the Aeg, I can help ensure it ends up in an SC by next
Fall, whereas Andy is not in much position to help you at this point. But no
hard feelings if you don't want to play that role.
Take care and let me know,

So. What do you think? You weren't expecting to lose TRI, were you? But
you still got your support into SMY?

Eric....
I wont put this advice in a press to myself....I want you to hear this
now....

Thats good, it is the right way of thinking, but why did you force it.
If you had that big a problme wiht me building you should have said it to
me.
To Andy : I am uncomfortable letting you get to 6. And then bounce me in
Trieste with Serbia, I would have reassured you I was building a fleet and
we could have moved forward. Stab averted.
but I still

Since we are living and learning. ....my moves up top are MUCH better for
you. It gives you 3 armies in germany and you are across the stalemate
line, you build in Warsaw, support yourself to Prussia and start taking
English dots. While moving your units out of Turkey.
And you still have my fleets working for you in the med.
Im not saying we cant work this out. But to answer your question.....
Yes....you should have definitely told me.
Im off to PrezCon, send me a note on your thoughts of how we can reconcile
this.

No...I expected a build. I would like to see what Erik disbands, but you
can bet your bottom dollar he wil be moving to Finland and likely Prussia.
You need to convoy and army to Belgium and Denmark. Firm up the middle a
bit, but you might need a fleet in London more.
Im off to PrezCon, my contact will be sporadic, but give me your thoughts.

Ok. I'll look it over - we will have the whole weekend and more before builds are due.

Good luck.
