Message from England to Master

France made nice progress on that last move and is in a position to try a
lot of different things on this move. For my part, being in ska eliminates
the worry of nth-ska, but leaves France in position to take
Denmark. Whatever France does, he has to leave an opening somewhere. If
he does take Denmark, Germany will most likely retreat to Sweden leaving me
at one. I could take StP to avoid picking up as the Russian forces are
doing nothing to slow France down (and, in fact, look poised to vulture a
center). Doing so leaves me out of position to do anything to France and
Russia would probably just take it back as soon as I left. Besides that,
Russia may well use Moscow to protect StP this turn as it looks like Moscow
has nothing better to do.

Suffice it to say, my survival chances probably just dropped from remote to
nil. I'll do what I can between now and my exit (probably next year) to
slow France down. Whatever moves I make will be a guess and will look good
or bad depending on what France chooses.

Message from France to Master

I'm a big bummed with the moves in the north. Either an attack on Denmark
or on Munich would have been successful, rather than the moves I made. I
think that this just goes to show the high quantity of luck involved in
no-press games. I've had some good guesses up to now, so I guess I'm
due.

Though I suppose it isn't so bad. Had I taken Munich or Denmark, they
would have been able to retreat and might have been able to outguess me in
the fall.

In the south, I was able to destroy IF Tun, which is good.

I have been very impressed with Turkey's play. He correctly issued the
support for Tun-Tys, even though Italy did not take him up on it. Also,
he has been signalling for Italy and/or Russia to take some of his Balkan
centers. He is figuring that Italy and Russia need the builds and units
more than he does, and he's probably right. At this point, it will be
hard for Italy to get a home center freed, but Russia still needs units.

I counted things up, and to hold the stalemate line that contains Berlin
(which is the one that IRT need to hold), Russia is 2 units short. He
would naturally be the one to occupy Lvn, Mos, War, Pru and Sil. But he
currently has only 3 centers on that side of the line (Sev, War, Mos).
It's possible if he takes Rum (at Turkey's urging) that Italy could man
Silesia (from the unit now in Bud), but that may leave him one unit too
short to stop me in the Med.

I'm not sure what to do in the south - the options are to just hold or to
try Tys-Tus, Tun S Wes-Tys. Ideally I would prefer an army in Tuscany,
but it's likely going to be next fall till that can happen. Hmm actually
I could move Wes-Lyo this fall, build A Mar, and order Pie S Mar-Tus in
spring. The problem will be if Italy moves Rom-Tus and takes Serbia and
builds a unit in Rome. That will essentially seal off th Med, which isn't
necessarily a bad thing, since I don't NEED any centers in Italy if I can
get Mun/Ber. Still, I don't want to give up pushing, because every unit
that Italy uses to defend Italy proper is another one that's not manning
the Tyl-Pru corridor.

I am going with Kie-Mun with support this fall. I am hoping that Germany
repeats his attack of the spring in fall, which will let himinto Kiel and
me into Denmark. This is a great tradeoff for me. I am taking Den with F
Hel instead of A Edi so that I can quickly get a fleet into the Baltic.

Message from Germany to Master

This seems to afford the best chance of continuing the stalemate, assuming support from Italy for Mun and from England for Den.

Message from Italy to Master

France has "supported" me again, but at the same time
he has three fleet around Tun. There is no room for
doubt regarding his intentions.

Turkey has sent clear friendly sings, maybe too
friendly! Does he *really* wants me to go to Ser?

He has also signalled peace to Russia. Maybe that is a
sensible thing to do given France's growth.

In that case a W-E stalemate may have to be
established. These are not as evident as N-S ones:
I'll have to study them!

My goal this season is to forge a RTI alliance to
contain France. My A Bus is trying to tell Turkey to
send the fleet in Bla to the Med.

I'm tired of A Nap H, but i had not come up with a
better move. I was afraid of a possible retreat by
France. Now that I will not be able to dislodge F Tys
I think it is better to move to Apu and maybe later
move the fleet into Nap where it might be more
helpful.

Message from Russia to Master

Except for Tun who supported instead of attacking, everyone
beside me sent in their best orders to stop France. Hopefully,
my conservative play didn't cost us anything.

I'm now sending Gal-Sil, Ukr-War, Mos-Lvn & Sev-Rum.
I will use the gain for a fleet in Stp, but I'm not sure yet on
wich coast it should be.

Message from Turkey to Master

OUCH, a painful mistake of Italy to move PIE to TYR.
He should have moved TRI to TYR and kept PIE where it was.
This would have still left three units to help support MUN.

Germany I believe should have disbanded DEN not BAL. Den is lost anyway as
is MUN.
A french solo is now a fact. I think that even me offering SER is to late
now.

Russia has to throw everything into defence of STP and BER. Italy and I have
to cover where possible. TUN is a guessing game. I am expecting tys - ion,
naf - tun supported by wes.
I wonder what Italy will order. To I support ROM - TYS or TUN - TYS or move
ion - tys and hope for support from ROM.

I dont feel to guilty, if Italy hadnt pulled back PIE (he knew that I was no
threat so TRI should have moved to TYR)(
Russia should know that I mean no harm now.
But I am sure this year was the turning point, Fracne should solo from here.
With a little luck RUSIIA will take RUM and build a fleet.
