Message from France to Master
Well, this game may have bogged down in a 3-way, but I'm going to give it
one more try here... Plan is to back off in the Med, and induce Russia to
stab Turkey by showing him the several centers that Turkey stands to
inherit in Italy and the western Med. I'm not sure I've ever pulled
something like this off, though I've tried several times, but why not give
it a whirl... :-)
Other possibilities are for Turkey and I to eliminate Russia and get a
2-way. Or maybe Turkey will sense a solo and stab Russia. Basically
though I see no benefit to propping up Italy.
I'd like to try and hold on to Tunis for the same reason I made the push
to get it in the first place - it would be my 18th. But I think my move
will work better if I flee all out to the west.
Message from Italy to Master
so far F has been friendly and apparently there is no
colusion among FTR to eliminate me, i only hope it
lasts!
i continue with my set of orders because the have
worked so far, and because i can think of no other
alternative.
Message from Russia to Master
I'm glad France lost his bid for Mun and a turkish stab, but it
look like his real aim was to setup the fall's moves. Hopefully,
Turkey isn't going to go for it and everything will be allright.
On a side note, given my positionning, I find Italy's request of
peace pretty funny. Nonetheless, I'm glad I didn't simply signal
Turkey to vacate Rum as it should prevent any confusion
regarding my intent toward Italy.
This fall, I expect Turkey to go for Ion with 2 supports, using
Adr to convoy Alb to Ven or Apu. Personaly, I would go for
Apu since France will surely use Pie to support Ven as he
wouldn't want to cut an eventual turkish support for Bur-Mun.
On my side, the problem is whether or not to trust Turkey
since he stayed put in Rum; but since I don't even want to risk
alienating Turkey, I'm going to support Tyr and hold in Ukr at
the risk of losing Sev, Bud & Mun. At least this time, with a
unit in Ukr and no turkish unit in Ser & Bul, War & Mos are
pretty safe from a turkish stab, so it's less risky to see him stab.
For the rest, my plan is the following: Ska-Nth supported by
Nwy & Den, Bar-Nwg, Bal s Den, Ber-Kie supported by
Mun & Sil s Mun. I doubt I will succeed, but I don't want to
risk losing Den without anything to show for it (Nwg-Nwy,
Kie-Den supported by Hel & Nth, itself supported by Edi &
Eng).
