Message from England to Master
Ah, well, should have gone with bre-eng, it was a tough call, but I did say
Russia was more likely to play to mao than support me to it. Spilt milk,
it would have been a lucky guess. France can be sure to do away with me
this turn by supporting himself to bre and covering bel. The problem is
that he really doesn't WANT to cover bel with anything but the fleet in the
Channel. So does he guess I'll go for bre and support himself there or
does he guess bel and order eng-bre? If he guesses wrong, he has a bit of
a headache either way, but it looks worse for him if I slip into bel, so
I'll guess that is what he covers. If I'm wrong, I die a little sooner. :)
My world view has become a bit more limited this past year as I face
elimination. I'm not inclined to try to sort through the murky situation
on the front lines. If I survive, I might have a look-see next year. Til
then....
Message from France to Master
Well, all in all, not that bad of a turn. England did not support the
move to Nao, meaning that I can finally eliminate him and get rid of that
pesky fleet this year, if I can spare the resources to cover Belgium. Of
course I'll still have 1 pesky rogue fleet, but hey 1 is better than 2 :-)
Took Munich as expected, but unfortunately did not see that Tus-Ven would
have kept Tyrolia open. I should have seen that. Good news though -
Italy is now down a unit and will likely never rebuild that. That makes
the southern static, since he needs A Boh to support A Tyl.
So, I'm going to take a risk in trying to destroy F Ber by moving Bal-Ber
with support from Kie and Mun. Russia did show knowledge of the reverse
attack tactic by ordering Ber-Bal (to prevent Bal S War-Pru bouncing Mos S
Pru-War). I think he may try Lvn S Ber-Bal. So other options would be
Kie S Bal, Bal S Mun-Ber, with Ruh-Mun (Bur is going to Bel), or Kie S
Mun-Ber, with Bal doing something else. The risk here is hoping that
nothing will cut Mun's support. I hope that this is true. The other risk
of course is losing Denmark. I expect Russia will take Denmark, but oh
well. That will likely mean another F Stp but hopefully it will be made
up for by the destruction of this one.
F Nwg will go to Nth. I considered sending it to Nwy to try and take Nwy
if he shuffles the fleet. But I'm going to send it to Nth to try and
retake Den next year. Essentially I'm ignoring RF Nao - it will come to
port somewhere and next year I'll try to deal with it.
Message from Italy to Master
my stay in Mun was short-lived, but so was the french
hold on War
i believe that even after the loss of my army, my
front is stabilised.
Message from Russia to Master
Bre-Pic? I wish him well, but I think he just committed suicide. As for
Turkey sending one more armies my way, he either thought the french
raider would survive or he's preparing a stab.
Now, here's my plan:
- Nao-Lvp (France is using everything he can to deal with his backyard
and I can't count on England, so I'm not going to waste a build just to
interfere with an attack on Bre)
- Swe-Den & Lvn-Bal (to keep Kie at port)
- Nwy-Fin & Ber s Lvn-Bal (allow Stp-Nwy & try my luck for Bal)
- Mos-Ukr & War s Mos-Ukr (reveal his intent or give him a fleet south)
Message from Turkey to Master
Well I think Italy made a mistake there. He couldnt have built even he he
held onto MUN.
He would have been better off ensuring that the MUN unit was not destroyed.
Now France once again has a chance to break through in TYR.
A lot will depend on Russia now. At least liverpool is lost.
