Message from England to Master
No question about my move this time - eng-bre. It'll keep France from
building any more Atlantic fleets for awhile. I was very surprised that
Russia allowed that army to slip behind his lines, the situation is now
very chaotic. I'll continue doing my bit and see what happens. His moves
in and around England seem obvious, at least - nth-lon, yor-lvp, nwg-edi,
spa-mao. I hope Russia takes a chance on cly-edi to save edi.
Message from France to Master
Well, one downside to doing well in a game such as this is the sheer
number of units that I have to order. I know, I know, tough world :-).
But whereas say, England, has to spend like 2 minutes thinking over what
to do with his one unit ("Do I move to Brest or move back to London?"),
I've got 14 units in 3 to 4 theaters that I need to coordinate. And
having 24 hour deadlines makes it hard to think of all the
possibilities and choose the right one. But of course I'd rather be here
than anywhere else... :-)
So, first order of business:
I feel I have to move to London. The risk of Eng-Bre and him building in
London is too great. I'd be fine if he bounced me though, but I suspect
he'll just take Brest. Spa is moving up to Mao to retake Brest next year,
hopefully with help from a new build in Paris? The southern units will
feint and bob and weave. It's possible that he could try to destroy A
Tus, but at this point that would be okay with me (since it would get me
another build that I could definitely use in the north). I hope I can get
a 3rd fleet (either the one now in Spain or a new one built in Mar) to Lyo
before Italy can wrangle a new build or F Nap up to Tuscany.
So, given Nth-Lon, I have a guessing game in Lvp-Edi. If he orders
Cly-Lvp, then I want to order Yor-Lvp and Nwg-Edi. If he orders Cly-Edi,
then I want to do Nwg S Yor-Edi. I can see it both ways, so I'm going to
go with the supported move to Edi.
Moving on. Hey I'm in Warsaw!!! :-) Turkey signalled that he is moving
Rum-Ukr this turn. Of course, when he made that signal in spring, I'm
sure that he never thought that I'd be in Warsaw. I know I didn't expect
to be there. Of course my first thought is to move War-Ukr, to bounce
that move and force Turkey to take Rum (and force a Russian disband). But
Turkey has to know that I saw that, so I think that he will not move to
Ukr. And if Turkey's not movign there, I don't really want to move there,
since I'd prefer to stay in War and cause at least one Russian disband (or
prevent a Russian build in the worst case). So I am going to guess that
Turkey will order Sil S Rum-Gal, and order Mun-Sil, War-Gal. This is a
highly risky move that will be huge if it works. DOwnside is that I could
potentially lose Munich and not gain Warsaw. But being in Galicia
wouldn't be so bad either...
The last theater involves F Bal. I have to think that Russia will order
Bot S Ber-Bal, to try and save that fleet, along with Swe-Den to cut
support. I considered the reverse attack of Kie S Bal-Ber, but I'm going
to try and take Sweden and allow him to move out of Berlin.
If all my guesses go right (haha yeah right), Russia could be down to 4
centers after this year.

man, it seems i can't help making mistakes lately. i
did not count on the potential retreat to War!
at least Mun seems somewhat vulnerable, so i'll take a
shot.

I reread my comment, wich I should have done before sending
it, and here's the intelligible version:

Now that I have had some time to think about it, I doubt he will
attack Sweden since it's support can be expected. Instead, I
suspect he will use Bal to support an attack on Berlin.
So, this fall I will try to do everything at once and see what work.
No great stategy there, but I allready made an huge mistake and
will need some time to rescape the situation.

- Nwy & Swe supporting each other
- Cly-Nao as I want to be in position to attack Mao next spring.

Well it's a gamble but I think that France will move WAR to SIL or PRU to cut support. I can either support Berlin, support Italy to MUN or try something completely different. I opt for the latter.
We dont want France running around in Russia or Italy. I will cover GAL and UKR.
There is a risk here, Russia could lose BER and WAR. I think that this is still better as we can retake WAR.
