Message from Austria to Master

I am going to try to attack Italy
but I only have one unit so not much luck.

Message from England to Master

I am surprised both Turkey and Italy built armies. It will be interesting
to see if Turkey tries aeg-ion in the hope of picking up a support from the
Austrian fleet. It probably won't happen as Austria seems intent on moving
on to the next game, but you never know. The way it stands I'm not sure
what Turkey intends for his new army, gre-alb, con-aeg-gre perhaps? That
leaves bul unprotected, but may be what he has in mind.

That part of the world is interesting right now. It will be most
interesting to see where the new army in Warsaw directs its attention. I'm
rooting for war-sil, of course. For my part, I'm glad to see the new
French army. This turn, I need to retake the North Sea and take a shot at
den. lon s edi-nth is obvious, but it is so obvious that it seems unlikely
Germany will challenge it. For that reason, I'll use it as a messenger
instead to indicate to France that I intend to help him take Holland in the
Fall. It may seem a bit silly, but even if Germany does cross me up, I
still bounce in North and take Denmark. My guess is that Germany will
instead try supporting a Russian move to Sweden. Russia may anticipate
this or just make the moves anyway in hopes Germany will offer the support
in the Fall. Even more reason for me to hope for war-sil.

Message from France to Master

Do I stab England or not? The stab would be moves of Eng-Iri and Spa-Mao,
followed by the convoy to Lvp in the fall from Gas or Bre. My only
concern is if England moves Lon-Wal right now, then he can block it. And
I get egg on my face.

But, I think I will go for it. I'm not going to get a build from Germany
for the next year or 2. The next build and maybe next 2 are going to
England (Hol/Den) before I get Munich.

If it doesn't work, then I'll have to consider either pulling back Iri-Mao
in fall, or convoying to Wal (as he assumedly would move Wal-Lvp)

Message from Germany to Master

The situation has become much more difficult -- if I support A Ruh, I cannot also both cover Kie and support Den (without exposing Hol, anyway). And if I don't support Ruh, and bounce in Kie, I risk the destruction of A Ruh which will make it impossible to hold Mun in the fall.

Hence the decision to abandon Ruh now, and use A Mun to cover Kie. It still risks losing A Ruh if Italy bounces in Mun, but it seems the best that can be done under the circumstances.

Of course if Russia moves A War-Pru or -Sil I'll soon be finished anyway.

Message from Italy to Master

Builds look rather promising. France has not built in
Mar, so I can expect peace from the West, even though
F Spa smakes me feel uneasy. Turkey has also built an
army so one of my worries is gone for the time being.

It looks like I am getting Tri, and if Turkey attacks
Russia, as I expect, my position may become quite
solid. I'm worried about the lone Austrian fleet,
though, which may be a nuisance, so I'm toying with
the idea of ordering F Ion - Alb so as to provide
extra support to Tri. But should I leave so strategic
space as Ion, particularly without knowing the Turkish
intentions?

I do not rule out the possibility of allying with
Russia against Turkey. Now that it seems that Austria
will be divided in equal parts, there may be no reason
for us to fight and we could proceed to slice Turkey
in turn...

Message from Russia to Master

On the surface, France seem to have broken the circle, but I'm
not convince. I suspect he will attempt a surprise convoy to Wal
and send Spain to Mao. I suppose that Spa-Wes-Tys, Eng-Mao
& Par-Gas-Naf is also a possibility.

As for the south:
-Austria opted for flexibility and I won't try to guess what he will
do exactly.
-Italy is still pursueing his inland strategy with no regard for naval
defence, but since France and Turkey are following his lead
regarding fleets in the Med., he's mostly safe for the moment.
-Turkey has built an army? Didn't even try to use the bounce over
Bla as an excuse to build a fleet in Con. If he had, I would have
expected it to be use against me anyway, but it would have been
available to use against Italy in the future.

OK. The West is a mess and I have some time on my hand. Stp
is safe for the moment, but I don't expect anyone to help me in
Sweden anytime soon. I will order Fin-Swe again this spring just
in case, but I will send Stp south to help.

Now for the madness. I always thought that, for Turkey to have
a shot at the solo, he needs to sails west as soon and as far as he
can while remaining safe; but he now has more armies then fleets!
This is surely because I try to slow down his expansion, but I think
he is over-reacting. For God's sake, Austria is out and Italy is
defenceless! He can keep bouncing me for the rest of eternity if
he want; but why pass up the chance of long term expansion?

I'm at a loss about what to do about the Black Sea. With two ports
bordering Bla, it's easier for him to kick me out of there if I stay
there too long then it is for me; and I'm convince that once he get
in, he intend to stay there indefinitely. Worst, I'm pretty sure he
intend to force the question this year with Aeg-Con sailing in the
wrong direction.

Tactically, the question for me is wheter he will try to force another
army in the Balkan with Con going to Bul or will he try the sure move
Con-Smy followed by a move to Arm?

Strategically, the question is what can I do against a Turkey that
isn't playing for the solo and has no enemy because of it?

My answer to both is a full defence in an attempt to limit my lost to
Serbia this year. Disbanding fleets as necessary.

F Finland - Sweden
A Galicia - Budapest
A Rumania - Sevastopol
A Serbia - Rumania
F Sevastopol - Armenia
A St Petersburg - Moscow
A Warsaw - Galicia

Hopefully, things will get more complicated for Italy and Turkey
once they both get a build from Trieste and Serbia.
