Oh well, it did not quite work out as planned. Now I
will disband the army in Alb so that I can use the
fleet in the adr sea for a little pressure.
It has been a fun game.
Message from England to Master
Ah, well, slower growth than I could have had, but I'm not too upset about
it. I now have a solid alliance with France and he knows that I won't be
building a fleet in lon, so there is little chance he'll build one in
Brest. Russia supported me in Norway, but indicated he wanted
Sweden. Since Norway would soon follow, I'm not inclined to give it to
him. I hope he builds in Warsaw and joins in the attack on Germany. It
can get tricky if he allies himself with Germany in Scandinavia.
Next year, the targets are Holland and Denmark, but how to do that may
require some thought. If I assist France into Holland in the Spring,
Denmark will be tough to take in the Fall. But that can wait until after
the builds. France also will have a nice stab opportunity,
pic-eng-wal. hmmmmm. Maybe I should have played for that second
build. Anyway, my build f edi.
Message from France to Master
Well, I'm building A Par. I'd really like to build a fleet, but I think
that building one would send the wrong message to either England or Italy.
And with both of them building, I can't signal an attack on either of them
with my build, even if I don't plan on it. I can't afford to have either
of them come my way, even for a 1/2 year.
So, what do I do now? Do I stick with England and attack Germany, or do I
stab England? Part of me wants to stab England, but the other part
wonders if it is a bit hasty. My reasoning is that I am not going to win
this game with England still around. I'm also nto going to win with
Germany around, but geographically he'll be easier to take out later,
especially with potential Russian help.
Message from Italy to Master
My tactic instincts have worked again. I get the build
even if I could not keep Tri. Anyway, I'm actually
better off in Vie because Tri may be easily retaken
next season.
I'm glad Russia did not order A Rum - Ser, A Bud S A
Rum - Ser (as I suggested in my last press) but the
other way round instead, which is much more anti
Turkish-looking. Was he trying to look friendly to me?
If I build a fleet, Turkey might consider it to be a
sign of enmity which might prompt him to ally with
Russia. They have bounced four times in a row in
Bla(which is quite uncommon, I think; usually one of
the two gets tired before that); as I said, the
Balkans is likely to provoke conflict between them, so
I do not in the least intend to give Turkey a reason
to be in good terms with Russia.
On the other hand, to build an army would look pretty
anti Russian. I would avoid war with Russia if I may,
but I'm afraid my bouncing him out of Vie has made war
inevitable. I just hope he keeps on doing poorly in
the North (althogh he is not under attack there).
Another minor reason to build A Rom is to cover Ven
from a possible sneak, last ditch attack from Adr,
assuming Austria disbands Alb.
