Troubles everywhere. There isn't much to say about that last move as it
went as expected. There are no good pick-ups in the position. My first
thought is to pick up Norway or Sweden. Sweden might be a better option in
a press game, but in no-press, it looks like an invitation. Then again, so
does picking up Norway. Germany has already shown that he is more
interested in centers than alliances and may well be planning to join in
the attack and get what he can. In that light, I might be better off
trying an old trick of holing up in Scandinavia and ceding my centers to
France. That would force Germany and Italy to deal with France sooner than
they might otherwise and maybe give me some hope. I do remember one
no-press game where I lost all my home centers as England and came back to
take the big part of the draw. That was a crazy game though and probably
wouldn't be repeated. On the other hand, what do I have to lose?

F Bre is the obvious build. Exact tactical plans will have to wait
till we see what England removes. My guess is that he would remove A
Swe. Which is fine by me, since Germany taking that will remove yet
another English unit off the board. I'm not sure that I can take
another English center (Lon or Edi) this year, but I will try my best.

One commentator down, five to go :)
I'm actually sorry to see the Austrian leave the game
so early, but circumstances dictated my attacking him.
If he had been more trustful towards me and not so
heedless of the Russian peril, I might perhaps have
helped him.
I have kept Tri as expected. With six units, a solid
position and no immediate threat, Italy looks pretty
healthy. Not only has Turkey attacked Russia but he
also signaled his will for an alliance by ordering
Army Serbia SUPPORT Italian Army Vienna -> Budapest
It would not have worked anyway because Russia has
supported Bud, but it's good news.
Strangely enough, instead of trying to ally with me,
Russia has ordered
Fleet Armenia CONVOY Turkish Army Greece -> Trieste
Army Budapest SUPPORT Turkish Army Serbia
in an untimely attempt to befriend the Turk.
So now I face the same dilemma: what to build? A Ven
or F Nap?
France is currenty the biggest power with seven SCs.
There seems to be a tacit non aggression pact between
us, so there is little incentive right now for me to
plan a Western offensive. On the other hand F Nap may
be a good deterrent lest the French were considering a
stab.
Italy's geographic limitations mean that armies have
to be slowly siphoned through Ven or Pie, so an extra
army may not be very productive. I have enough armies
for the time being.
However, F Nap might be considered by the Turk as a
sign of enmity...
If I come up with a plausible tactic plan for 1904 I
will build A Ven, otherwise I guess I'll have to go
with F Nap.

EI are looking strong, I hope Russia gives up his quest south and disbands
ARM.
He may not, but moving there was a strage way to indicate an alliance.
