I don't have time today to look at the board, much less comment on the
moves, so I will save that for the spring season. For now, I'll just say
that having just taken the North Sea (finally!), I am obviously not going
to pick up that fleet.

yes, Yes, YES!
It was a risky move, and I doubted it would succeed, but that one move may
have just let me turn the corner. Had I been Italy, I would have counted
on A Apu to support Venice (why else would Turkey have put it there),
allowing Tri to support Tyl and Vie to move to Boh. But it's hard to be
sure in a no-press game - which I think helps the "big guy", since I don't
have to coordinate with anyone. In Italy's defense, losing Venice or
Tyrolia would have also been devastating.
Even better, Den-Swe succeeded, so even though I lost the North Sea, I
don't have to remove, AND England has to drop one.
Berlin can be guaranteed in the spring (Boh-Sil, Bal-Pru, Kie S Mun-Ber)
and can hopefully be held. The adjustments will determine quite exactly
how to play 1910, and I will write again then.

Arghhhh. How lucky can you be? France get in Swe & Boh without
support! Now, Berlin is lost: Mun-Ber, Kie s Mun-Ber, Ruh-Mun,
Boh-sil & Bal-Pru.
I will try to compensate with the following and see where it goes:

Well I cant believe Italy didnt support himself to BOH why else does he
think I put an army in APU if not to support VEN. France should no doubt
solo now. He cant lose.
The only remote chance we have is to destroy BOH in the spring and get four
units on MUN by fall. This requires 2 good guesses.
Hmmmmm I see Russia builds two. Its late, so before I say to much I am off
to bed. Will look at it tomorrow.
Have re-evalued then I dont understand why England didnt defend Sweden.
If he was awake (which I am not) then he would have known Russia would get
two builds and that France would have to disband!!! WHy didnt he just hold
onto Sweden?????????????
Hmmmm major mistake. The move to NTH could have waited till next year. If
Italy was in BOH and England would have held (neither seems unreasonable)
then the Frecnh disband and Russian builds would have made a world of
difference.
