Message from England to Master
It looks like France miswrote an order around Tunis, but it didn't make a
difference. Ultimately, France will roll us back in the North, but we can
try to make it hard on him. I am going to try to slip into ska right
now. It risks losing Denmark, but only if France gives up the North Sea,
something I doubt he will want to do. Being in ska keeps France from
moving there himself. It is all rearranging the deck chairs though. The
Tunis build should give him the firepower he needs to break through. Still
Turkey and Italy can pressure him in the Med and the center should hold for
now, so it is not a sure thing yet. Just have to keep plugging.
Message from France to Master
Germany removed as expected (had no other choice really), and so now we go
to the movement phase. The moves in the south are obvious - the
guaranteed capture of Tunis and Mar-Pie. Similarly Bre-Eng is a must
move. Which leaves the question of what to do in the north.
I debated with myself different options. I almost considered Edi-Den with
support from Kie and Hel, but then I thought it was certainly reasonable
for Germany to order Den S Nwy-Nth, and that would lead to the
dislodgement of F Nth, if I remember my convoy paradox rules correctly.
So, in the end, I decided to play it safely for spring. That will also
give me the opportunity to spy on Germany's defense for spring and see if
I can exploit it in the fall. I suspect that I'll be able to take Denmark
in the fall. Hel-Den, Bur-Mun, Ruh S Kie hold my current position against
all but some pretty unlikely movesets out of E/G. Edi will hold, and Nth
will support Hel-Den though likely be cut
Message from Germany to Master
I am assuming that Italy will support A Mun; what England will do I cannot guess. Den is lost anyway, so may as well try the attack on Kie.
Message from Russia to Master
France is winning the guessing game in the north while he's
positionning himself in the south. Once he get in Bal, it's
game over if we haven't establish an airtigth stalemateline;
wich need to include Stp if Tunis fall.
England is trying to help Germany from his "safe" position;
but he would have been more usefull had he went to Ska,
to threathen the North Sea, or Nwg, to send a raider unit
behind France's line.
Since Italy knew that he needed an army in Tyr to support
Mun, going for Gal meant that either Bud or Tri would be
left open, so why did he try it and vacated Pie? Not
bouncing in Mar unnecessarily is one thing, vacating a good
spot like Pie when France is trying to solo is another. Am I
dealing with another who's prepare to risk a french solo just
to cut me out of a possible draw?
Now for the most interesting part, Turkey seem prepare to
do his part to stop a french solo. I wonder how long he will
accept to back off and help Italy?
For my part, I will issue the same set of order, except I will
support Rum to signal my acceptance of his peace offer. If
Italy doesn't try for Gal again and Turkey leave Arm alone,
I will start plugging hole in the stalemateline next fall.
Message from Turkey to Master
OUCH, a painful mistake of Italy to move PIE to TYR.
He should have moved TRI to TYR and kept PIE where it was.
This would have still left three units to help support MUN.
Germany I believe should have disbanded DEN not BAL. Den is lost anyway as
is MUN.
A french solo is now a fact. I think that even me offering SER is to late
now.
Russia has to throw everything into defence of STP and BER. Italy and I have
to cover where possible. TUN is a guessing game. I am expecting tys - ion,
naf - tun supported by wes.
I wonder what Italy will order. To I support ROM - TYS or TUN - TYS or move
ion - tys and hope for support from ROM.
I dont feel to guilty, if Italy hadnt pulled back PIE (he knew that I was no
threat so TRI should have moved to TYR)(
Russia should know that I mean no harm now.
But I am sure this year was the turning point, Fracne should solo from here.
With a little luck RUSIIA will take RUM and build a fleet.
