Message from France to Master
Again, I have been thinking about this game for much of the past day or
so. It seems like this game has been presenting me with more strategic
decisions than a normal game, but possibly it's just because I'm actually
trying to document what I'm thinking.
In this case, it settles down to the Kie/Den area. The safe orders are
Nth-Edi, Eng-Nth, Wal-Lvp, Iri-Nao. But the risk is losing Kie without
taking Den. The risk is Italy ordering Mun-Ruh. If he does, I"m going to
lose Kie. Not the end of the world. I can retreat to Hol and stop him
from advancing (and eventually take back Kie), and I suppose I could
remove the army now in Mar. But I don't really want Russia to take
another build.
If I were Russia, I think I'd order Nwg S Stp-Nwy (A Nwy-Fin). If he
does, the orders to make would be
Nth S Kie-Den, Hel S Ruh-Kie.
Tragically, that craps out if Russia orders Nwg-Nth. Then I lose Kie
without taking Den. Another option is Ruh S Kie, Kie, Hel S Nth-Den,
Eng-Nth. Annoying if Russia orders to Nth, but not the end of the world.
But if Mun-Ruh, then that's not so hot.
*Another* option is Kie-Den, supported by Hel, with Ruh-Hol, Bur-Ruh,
Mar-Bur. The thought would be Den-Kie in the fall, with 3 supports. I
don't particularly want to take Den and hold Kie (though of course I
wouldn't complain), but just to make sure I hold one to give my NW units
time to get into position.

my fears seem to have confirmed. i'm confused by T's
orders, why did he order A Vie S A Gal - Bud while
supporting A Mun & A Ven at the same time? perhaps i
can still count on him. on the other hand F has
apparently also seen the possibility of TR going after
me and is offering peace. or is he "pulling out" from
the stalemate line just to encourage the others to
finish me?
if TR are really thinking of eliminating with F
acquiescence, there is little i can do. normally
someone in my position should threaten to throw the
game away to the biggest power, but this is difficult
to do in a NP game because lack of communication.
moreover, F seems to be too far now from the solo to
make it a credible threat...
on the other hand i might just be going crazy without
reason and my reliable allies are only transferring my
unusable builds to further our cause...
i guess all i can do for the moment is trying to keep
Tri from foreign hands and hope for the continuing
support from T. i'll send some signals to show my
wariness.
Message from Russia to Master
Turkey and his armies! I would have thought the french
offer of peace to Italy would have incited him to build a
fleet; but no, he had to build another army in Con. So,
unless Itay accept the french offer, things aren't about to
change in the south and Turkey will probably try to keep
playing in the north instead of dealing with the south.
Anyway, I'm convoying to Cly with Stp going to Nwy,
while keeping up my attack on Kie in case Italy follow
my advice. I have also decided to take out the turkish
army in Sil and get into position for Mun with Gal-Boh
& Bud-Gal. Will see how this turn out, but as long as
Turkey leave Gal & Rum alone, I'm fine with him.

Well, lets see what happens. As stated earlier I dont see us taking out italy.
Probably a 4 way draw. A lot will depend on what Russia does.
