Message from Austria to Master
It looks like Italy is more interested in attacking me
now as well. Therefore I will try to slow down his
movements against me. Since RTI are all aiming to
eliminate me. I'll make sure that one of them gets
the shorter end of the stick.
It looks like FG are allied together and England is
doing all the work in the north.

Only one real surprise in the builds, but it was a big one - the German
fleet in Kiel. I still think the army was stronger, but if he is going to
put in a fleet, building it in Kiel sends the wrong message. I think his
intention is to play to kie-bal-swe, but I have to worry about
kie-hel. The other big problem is that I needed him to play to swe
immediately and then to fin to cut support for StP. I don't think that is
going to happen now even though Russia will play fin s stp. I think he
will play it safe and I don't think he is too interested in helping
me. So, what do I do now?
I can stay the course with an attack on StP and hope Germany helps
out. Meanwhile, I'd take over the Channel. I can withdraw my attack on
Russia and try to find an ally between France and Germany. One move set
could be lon-eng with support meanwhile signalling a convoy with
nwy-nth-bel and bar-nwy. I'm uneasy though about Germany helping me take
Belgium, that build in Kiel was made without consideration of how it would
be viewed by a potential English ally. I could be wrong, but my gut tells
me he is only looking at centers for himself, not for him and an ally.
A third move set is to allow France into the Channel and to move to Sweden
myself following it with bar-nwy. This is very risky. Russia will
suddenly have two units doing nothing and may well decide to help Germany
take Sweden. France could very well take a shot at London. Plus, I could
be misreading Germany or just plain guessing wrong about his moves. I'll
worry about all that next move. For now, my only real question is nth-ska
or nth-hel. I like nth-hel even though it could bounce if I am completely
wrong about Germany and he is planning to move to hel. If it happens, it
happens.

Well, with E/F building fleets in Lon and Bre, I suppose that we will be
warring now. Certainly I expect Lon-Eng, possibly with support from Nth.
The real question is which side will Germany go on? This is the kind of
randomness that I don't really enjoy about no-press, but such is the
nature of the game.
Italy's build of an army bodes well for me I think. Certainly F Tun would
seem to have to go to Ion. So how do I hold Belgium while taking Spain?
I think that Germany may very well take a shot at Belgium, but of course
I'd like him to move into Hel and start taking out England. I guess I
will move to Gascony to take Spain, while hoping for the best...

A Ruh-Bel, A Hol s A Ruh-Bel, A Mun-Bur: some chance, at least, of pushing France out of Bel. A Hol-Bel with support from Ruh might of course be better, but I don't want to risk England sneaking into Hol.
F Den-SKA, F Kie-BAL: I don't want England in SKA where he could keep me out of Swe next season. There's some risk of course that England might try F NTH-Den, but I'm willing to accept that. There's a chance of course that England might try to grab Nwy right away (A Nwy-Swe, F NTH-Nwy), but I'm accepting that risk as well. There's also some (small) risk that Russia could foil everything by moving Fin-BOT and StP-Fin, but I'm guessing that he will be much to preoccupied with holding on to StP.

Which is the best plan to attack Austria?
I'm a bit worried about what A Mun will do. Will G
attempt a late Anschluss? Or will he just ignore the
Alpine front?
What about the Russian? A Juggernaut may be forming...
Will he attack Ser, thus cutting a possible support
for Tri? Will War be sent to Gal and then to Vie?
And what about Austria himself? Will he just wait for
the inevitable, ordering passive support orders or
will he adopt a more dynamic approach?
It is important for me to guess right, otherwise my
three armies will go nowhere and my chances to get a
build will diminish dramatically.
I'm pretty sure Tri will be supported, but I will hope
someone cuts it!
So I decided to go after Tri and hopefully take a shot
at Vie at fall. I count on G doing nothing with A Mun,
but I would not bet on it...
If my move fails I will move to Boh in fall and wait
until 1903 to try again from a hopefuly stronger
possition.
Message from Russia to Master
I'm please to see that Germany isn't putting everything into
an EG alliance, but I doubt his second fleet is going to be
use against England in the short term (Den-Swe & Kie-Bal
is more probable).
As for France and Italy, I don't know what they are doing.
After having annoyed Germany, I can understand that
France prefer to build at least one army, but why build it
in Par instead of Mar? With a fleet in Mao & Bre, his north
coast would be safe in the short term and having an army
in position to take Spain would have been preferable.
Because of this, I'm afraid he doesn't intent to move against
England, but simply put up a defence while he take Spain
with Por.
As for Italy, I'm force to revise the opinion I have of him.
He went from someone who's choice of target didn't pay
up to a weak power who doesn't even attempt to keep up
with the other power of the region. Without fleets, he is
totally dependent on others to progress, Germany is too
strong and there isn't much place to maneuver around
Austria, and dangerously vulnerable to the turkish invasion
of the Med. I was hoping for. I say was because I now fear
that Turkey could end up having a faster expansion then I.
Since I suppose Italy will try Tyr-Boh, Ven-Tyr & Rom-Ven,
I will try to secure my southern position against a possible
raider unit while pursueing my expansion at Austria's expense.
Bud-Ser, Rum-Bud & War-Gal should position me nicely
for the fall and I will use Sev to cover the Black Sea. Normally,
I would use it to cover Rum, more as a sign to Turkey then
any real need for defence; but with Italy's choice of build, I
prefer not to make it too easy for Turkey.
In the north, I don't think England has anything to worry from
France, so he's going to push for Stp while Germany take
Sweden. If I'm lucky, Germany will prefer to maintain a
presence in Den instead of keeping a fleet in Bal that could
convoy to Liv next year, but I doubt it. I really need to make
gains in the south or risk losing everything to Germany. In the
mean time, I don't want to surrender the north too easily and
will support Stp while offering peace to England

Goal: uncertain, paranoia has set in. If I were Russia I would go
for SER and push for GAL from WAR. This way he may net SER this year and
have a strangle hold on Turkey.
I am hoping for RUM to support BUD and BUD to support BUL - SER. But I have
a bad feeling about this. I have to gamble between bul - ser or bul - rum.
This is RADIO FREEDOM...crying out LOUD....
