Message from England to Master
Well, I guessed wrong about what France would try. So did Italy. And my
head still hurts. :)
It looks to me like France can't be stopped anymore by hook or by
crook. It is all just dotting the i's and crossing the t's from here on
out. It would have been a long, tough campaign if he hadn't guessed right
last turn although one that he eventually wins barring an error. People
make mistakes though, so I am sure he is very happy about getting into
Bohemia. With static defense useless now, Italy and Russia have to try
active defenses and hope to guess right. Even if they do, it is still only
a matter of time.
Still, people DO make mistakes, so there is no reason not to keep trying to
muddy the waters. Now that I am in the North Sea, where do I go? I'm not
in position to usefully cut any supports or to offer any of my own. I can
dive into a center and force France to evict me, but that is not terribly
useful either as France doesn't have any back-line units that are
critically needed for supports. My best move is probably to sit tight this
turn and pick a space if France boots me. I can send a signal, but what
signal would be useful? nth c gal-boh? Duh, I think Turkey can figure
that one out himself.
The only useful thing I can think to do is to convoy Russia to Liverpool as
a signal that if he goes to cly, I will try to bounce France in edi (if I
am in position to do so). We'll see what happens.

Well, as I get more and more units, it takes longer and longer to figure
out what I want to do with all of them.
The short-term goal is to take and hold Berlin. Realistically though,
that's the only goal, since if I can do that, I'll have won if I can mop
up the rest of the north.
But even the slam dunk move I posted after seeing the fall moves (the
guaranteed capture of Berlin) I'm not sure if I want to do this spring.
Russia's builds indicate that he is likely going to order Stp-Bot, Mos-Stp
(to try and hold Norway).
So now I have to consider whether I want to try and support Bohemia in the
spring while trying to bounce Stp-Bot. The real consideration is whether
or not F Lvn will support Stp-Bot, or whether F Lvn will again order to
the Baltic to try and hold Berlin. I think I'm going to go ahead and make
the move on Berlin this spring. It will be good to destroy A Ber.
Another choice is whether to move A Ruh-Mun, risking the destruction of A
Boh, or whether to risk Munich to leave Bohemia a place to retreat to, if
necessary. I think I'm going to risk the destruction of A Boh. I'm
cutting A Tyl with Piedmont, so hopefully A Boh can stick around another
turn or so.
South will just try to play an active defense along with Pie-Tyl.
F Nao I think has to go to Clyde to cut off an attempted attack on Lvp as
well as set myself up to either retake Edi or cut Edi so I can take Nth.
A Swe will go to Norway - England has shown himself to not be one that
tries to just defend his centers. And it's worked for him so far - I
think I sat with a unit next to a wide open Sweden for like 3 turns before
I eventually took it. This time though I'm going to move for Norway and
go from there.
That leaves the northern fleets. After tons of deliberation, I decided to
go with F Hol-Hel. Reason being a) I don't want England in Hel, b) that's
one step closer to Den, where I can either support F Bal, or try to
recover Baltic once I'm dislodged.
I am going to move Eng-Nth. I decided against a supported attack on the
North Sea because a) I don't want to waste the moves if it doesn't work
(due to Edi S Nth), and b) there are so many juicy places for F Nth to
retreat to, and I doubt I can cover ANY of them, much less all of them.
I predict Russia will order Edi S Nth, but I think that England will move
F Nth somewhere. I hope that it's to Bel or Lon. Nwy would be annoying,
and if it's Hol or Den, then I risk that unit cutting Kiel and letting
Russia retake Berlin in the fall.
Message from Italy to Master
as expected, T has ordered A Apu S A Ven in last fall,
which meant i had an extra army to go to Boh as
suggested by T himself. but i preferred to play safe
and have two supports on Ven myself.
however, i overlooked the fact that the french army in
Boh is a threat to Ber. it cannot be defended if F
cuts its two supports. i realise now that this may be
fatal, because F is currently at 14 units and if Edi,
Nwy and Ber fall to F (which seems a certainty), then
it's 17, and StP cannot be defended from the south!
what an *idiot* i was!

Move: Ber-Mun & Sil-Mun (just in case), Pru-Lvn, Lvn-Bal, Stp-Bot,
Mos-Stp & Edi-Cly.
At least with this, I threathen Lvp and if I can get in Bal, all the sc
surrounding that sea space. I will leave the elimination of the french
army in Boh to Italy & Turkey. One thing is sure, as soon as it is safe
to do so, England will be shown the door.

The coward, be the major cause of a potential French solo and leave ;-)
It always feel good to stab no matter what the occasion
Well its guessing time, as I indicated VIE - BOH then I best support it
there now instead of going there myself hoping on support.
I think BER will fall, letting France into BOH was a big mistake. Problem is
France may decide to destroy SIL first and go after BER in the fall. Guess
guess guess time.
