Message from England to Master
Not much to say at this point. I'm very surprised Russia either didn't see
or didn't respond to the threat on his southern flank. It is possible that
he is going to try to take over my position of hiding out in Scandinavia,
but if so, it seems like an odd decision for a six-center power to make.
Anyway, giving up a fleet would be just plain giving up, so as much as it
hurts, the army is a goner. I'll watch to see what Russia lifts. If he
completely abandons the south and keeps his three northern units intact,
I'll try to move to stop him taking over my centers, otherwise I'll play
catch-as-catch-can with Germany and France.

Well, it seems like everything this past turn was balanced in both good
and bad.
GOOD - I successfully guessed enough of Germany's moves to take Holland
and destroy that army. BAD - He coordinated with England and is in the
North Sea
GOOD - I took Edi and England will have to remove. BAD - his removal (A
Fin?) will likely not help me that much. I do have to say that I'm not
sure quite what England is doing. If he's going to abandon his homeland
and fight in Scandinavia, then go all out and do that. If he wants to
fight me, he should have fought me from the get-go.
BAD - Italy is building, and it will probably be F Rom. GOOD - Russia is
disbanding 2 and is likely not enamored with the I/T alliance. He may try
to help me out.
GOOD - For some reason Italy did not support Ion-Tys, so I'm in the
Tyrrhenian. BAD - I'm unlikely to hold it and don't have a very good
chance at taking Tunis.
GOOD - My solo chances are pretty good. BAD - The rest of the board
seems to have realized that and moved to mobilize against me. I'm not so
sure I can fight off the entire board as I go from 8 to 18.
I think I've got to build 2 fleets. F Bre is needed to move to Eng to cut
that off from when I take Nth this year. Hmm or maybe the better move is
Bre-Mao-Naf in an attempt to seal Tunis. The logic there being that once
I have Tunis, then I can continue to focus in the north and bull rush my
way to the northern 17. Yeah I think that's the way to go. Then I think
that A Par has to be my 2nd build. It seems kind of silly to build F Bre
to fight in the Med and F Mar to fight in the north :-) Plus this way
hopefully Italy will take that as a peaceful sign? I also need to worry
about a very likely spring move of Ven-Pie

no brainer, isn't it?
Message from Russia to Master
France did takeover Edi, but with the loss of 2 sc,
I can't go against England. Luckily for me, with
France's decision, I doubt England will go after me.
The only positive outcome of all this is the italian
build wich bring a unit where it count, on France's
border. This will probably give us a couple more
years then if he hadn't build; but the end result will
be the same, a french solo.
In a no-press game, I doubt we will be able to setup
the stalemate line necessary to stop him. With the
south nearly blocked to him, it should be possible to
stop him at 17 or 16 if Stp is kept; but this would
necessitate armies in Lvn, Pru, Sil... With the current
Turkey, I doubt that Italy and I will be able to
disengage in time.
Ideally, I would want Turkey to abstain from building
and retreat while supporting Italy into some of his sc.
This would allow the same power to control much of
the defensive line for better coordination.
Since I doubt this will happen, I will keep Stp & Mos
to support it and Ukr & Sev to block a turkish assault.
If Turkey do his part, I will move to defend from France.
If he doesn't, I will have to decide between defending
myself from Turkey until the end or actively throw the
game to France to speed it up.

I will be buidling an army in ANK. The challenge is to now push north asap
to prevent a french solo. Its a shame Italy didnt support me to TYS. I hope
he builds a fleet in ROM. We have enough armies between us.
Its IT all the way now.
