Mmmm nice turns. Italy supported Kiel which turned out to make the
difference! At first glance I thought that had I ordered Kie S Bur-Mun
(supporting my own attack) instead of making a void gesture to Italy, that
I would have taken Munich! But then I saw that Russia had ordered a
double attack on it, so it wouldn't have mattered.
Great turn for me. I bounced Ska, took Den, got into Tyrolia with the
classic no-press mixup of R/T each supporting the other into Tyrolia.
This one I'd have to blame on Russia. As a Russian army sitting in
Turkish Vienna, CLEARLY you've got to be the one to move. Ordering
support for Turkey to move to Tyrolia is clearly just a fake gesture to
skim centers off your supposed ally. If I'm Turkey I'm clearly annoyed
about Russia already being several centers up on me, and taking ANOTHER
center off of me? I'd imagine R/T tensions are high.
I'll write again with my build. I'm glad that Russia can't build another
northern fleet. I suppose Italy will remove A Ruh, though I hope he
doesn't.
Well, I could make a case for just about any build except A Bre.
I'm really worried that Italy will remove A Ruh, and if he does, my
position in the north goes kaput, and the only thing that will save me is
Turkey attacking Russia in the south. Which isn't such a bad thing for
me.
I'm going to build F Bre, to provide another support to ensure I don't
lose the North Sea. It also could be used in the south against Turkey
should it come to that, which it probably won't. If Italy does remove A
Ruhr, then I will have to pull back and likely lose control of Kiel and
possibly Denmark. But at that point Russia will be at 13 centers, and
Turkey will HAVE to do something. Won't he?

Oops! I was so sure Turkey was going to repeat his
move to Tyr instead of guessing mine. Since I don't
need the unit, I'm waiving my build as a sign to
Turkey and will think about how to proceed later on.
